Nick Seip is a writer, strategist, and musician who helps people hear the world differently.
As a music writer for Slant Magazine, Nick is obsessed with tracing the threads that connect past and present. Through both new music reviews and retrospectives on classic albums, he explores why music sounds the way it does and how it makes us feel.
As Copy Director at Emergence Creative, Nick gives voice to big ideas that serve the common good. Throughout his career, he’s developed campaigns for housing justice with the United Nations, built digital movements for LGBTQ equity in the US, led marketing efforts for major benefit concerts, and more. Previously, he was the Senior Copywriter at Purpose—a creative agency where he developed bold concepts and narrative visions for brands working to achieve positive, lasting change. Before that, he was the Director of Communications at Cyndi Lauper's True Colors United, an organization he helped build from the ground up since 2013.
When he’s not writing, Nick co-leads the Brooklyn indie band Noods, a fixture in the NYC DIY circuit.
